Free Parking on Las Vegas Strip
If you’re new to Vegas, it’s unlikely you’d remember when all of the casinos, hotels, and resorts offered complimentary parking to all guests. But this is actually a new change that happened just a few years ago, first prompted by MGM and Caesar properties who first implemented paid parking.
Sadly it was an upsetting and frustrating change for many locals. Us included.
Technically these casinos claim the change wasn’t a money grab and instead was used to fund the integration of smart parking systems. And they would, in turn, help make finding spots easier. Over the years, though, that’s changed little. And parking is still quite a pain.
So now, these days, most of us have to reach into our wallets, battling long lines and finicky machines to get out of most garages. Not to mention, depending on how long you are parked, those fees can be upwards of $30. And that’ll put a real damper on your partying, eating, or gambling budget, to boot.
Thankfully, it wasn’t every casino that embraced this unnecessary change. And there are still many locations today that offer complimentary parking to all of their guests, a godsend. So you can still rest easy parking where you know your vehicle will remain safe and avoid getting a ticket for parking illegally.
With that said, here’s our list of where to find free parking in Las Vegas.
In this guide, you’ll learn:
- Where to find free parking in Vegas
- Frequently Asked Questions
Wynn & Encore Las Vegas

Both of these golden luxury towers offer all guests free parking in their self-parking garage. And parking here is a no-brainer considering these hotels are magical. Yet they also deliver some of the best entertainment, dining, and nightlife in town. So, spending hours indulging in fine entertainment and mind-blowing experiences here is easy.
While you’re there, though, check out The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas, which we’ve rated as one of the best buffets in town. Or you can check out Delilah or Lakeside if you prefer a more traditional fine dining experience. During that time, you can also watch the Lake of Dreams, a lively water fountain show rated among one of the best free things to do in town.
Then visit Encore Beach Club for a mind-blowing day or night party like no other. And finally, you can round off your trip by exploring the high-end global roster of designer boutiques in The Shops at Wynn and Encore. This pedestrian gateway connects the two venues with its signature red carpet, high architectural touches, and world-famous brands like OMEGA, Balmain, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Saint Laurent.
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Skypod

Located on Las Vegas Boulevard South, The STRAT is a perfect place to park if you’re staying on the North end of The Strip. Parking here also lets you experience everything the STRAT has an offer, including going 1,149 ft high to see Las Vegas from its iconic observation tower.
In fact, the STRAT has the largest freestanding tower in the US, which overlooks the entire city. And frankly, the view from here gives you an unbeatable panorama of the city unmatched by anything else.
While you’re there, you can also indulge in their world-famous Top of the World restaurant, an upscale revolving restaurant that sits 800 ft high on top of the tower, or the several sports bars and cocktail lounges.
Or, hey, be daring and hop onto the SkyPod amusement rides, like the Skyjump, a bungee jump down the Skypod that’s easily the biggest thrill ride in town. That said, if you’re afraid of heights, the STRAT also has plenty of amenities on its lower levels, including a full shopping mall, several pools, a fine art collection, and plenty of live shows. And you can also walk to other locations, including the Sahara and Circus Circus, conveniently from the hotel.
Venetian Resort and Palazzo Tower

Located on South Las Vegas Boulevard, both The Venetian Resort and The Palazzo Tower offer free parking to guests. And each is definitely an excellent option, too, given their 5-star resort amenities.
These properties are also a centerpiece of the Vegas strip in an unbeatable location. Plus, these casinos are connected, so you can choose either garage without any hassles along the way.
The Venetian houses the Grand Canal Shoppes, its main focal point, and easily one of the best shopping centers in town. Here you can shop at high-end designers like Jimmy Choo or casual spots like Sephora.
But you can also play and dine at dozens of restaurants, all while being surrounded by historic Italian landmarks in Venice, like St. Mark’s square.
You can even hop onto a gondola and ride through the canals, which is a fun and unique experience. Either way, The Venetian is an ornate Italian getaway, to say the least, that’ll take you right to the heart of Italy.

But it’s also quite the party spot. The Venetian is home to several top-rated clubs and lounges, including Electra Cocktail Club, TAO Beachclub, and The Dorsey Cocktail Bar. And it’s always where we find the massively popular Atomic Saloon show. At the same time, the Palazzo Tower offers an elegant and luxurious atmosphere that’s hard to replicate. But, together, the two resorts are a huge hit and an easy recommendation.
Tropicana Las Vegas

Located on South Las Vegas Boulevard, Tropicana Las Vegas is a long-time favorite on The Strip. And this resort offers you many lovely accommodations inspired by the tropics, which will be a breath of fresh air amidst the blazing summer sun.
Inside, Tropicana offers several luxury shops, restaurants, and bars to keep you busy and indulging. They also have an indoor pool with swim-up Blackjack and a Glow Spa location on-site if you want to relax further.
But, more importantly, Tropicana is home to several widely popular weekly shows, including MJ Live (the Michael Jackson tribute concert), Purple Reign (the Prince tribute concert), and the infamous Laugh Factory. And these are all must-sees.
That said, Tropicana only offers complimentary self-parking on non-event days. So if there’s a concert or game at the T-Mobile or MGM Garden Arenas, they will charge $15-$20 for non-hotel guests. And it’s also important to note that their lot only offers two levels, so parking fills up fast at this location.
Nevertheless, it’s an excellent casino if you’re on the south side of The Strip and want to go to MGM grand or the neighboring casinos like Excalibur, New York-New York, or Luxor.
Conclusion
And there you have it. There’s a list of where to find free parking in Las Vegas. And you now have some of the best locations where you can enjoy the spectacular events of The Strip without battling unnecessary parking fees.
